Caps United Trio of George Magariro, Pride Tafirenyika and Takudzwa Muhori reportedly had a fall out with one of the coaches after they allegedly refused to drink ‘Holy Water’ from a famed Harare Prophet ahead of their league match against FC Platinum.

Makepekepe went on to win the match 2-1. However, the club has denied that the incident took place. In the match, Mahori only played 27 minutes, Magariro was substituted in the 46th minute and Tafirenyika played in the last nine minutes of the game.

A source in the CAPS United camp revealed that the coach was mad about the three players’ refusal to take ‘Holy Water’ and immediately read the riot act.

“He read the riot act to Magariro, Hori and Tafirenyika after they refused to take ‘Holy water’ from Madzibaba Paul of Mufakose prior to our league match against FC Platinum. The coach even threatened to show them the exit. He told Magariro that CAPS is different from Dynamos where players are treated like kings. he said Magariro should forget about Dynamos where he was being treated like a king,” said the source.

Contacted for comment, CAPS United head coach Taurai Mangwiro, who recently bounced back at the Green Machine following his brief Asiagate ban said he didn’t know where the allegations were coming from.

“I don’t know where such things are emanating from. At CAPS United we are at peace. I would rather spend my time doing something constructive than concentrating on petty issues. We are a united family,” said Mangwiro.

Ironically, the Mufakose Prophet is reported to have run for dear life as he was chased away from Rufaro Stadium by unknown people, just before the CAPS United versus Monomotapa match. The game ended in a nil all draw.
